Zip Code Question Type - If you asked any open-ended or single one type question asking for a Zip Code then select the Zip Code Question Type and the dashboard will show a Map instead of a list of Zip Codes.

New Question # – Each New Question #  will be a separate question/chart in the dashboard. Most question types will have 1 column per question but some question types such as Multiple Choice, Matrix and Ranking will have multiple columns for one question. In this case, you will have to group all of those columns together by giving it the same New Question #.

Double Column Headers – SurvekMonkey data export has 2 headers which are not an ideal format. VizualSurvey accounts for this by loading the first row as the header if there is a value there otherwise it will grab the second row. It will do this automatically when you upload the data so there is nothing you will have to do. There will be an additional cleaning step for this in the next step.

Contact Information Question Type – This question type has multiple columns that need to be treated as its own questions. Each of these columns should have its own New Question #.

Multiple Textboxes – For this question type you have two options. You can group the columns together by giving all the columns the same New Question # which will show all of the answers in a single list. The second option is to give them all a different New Question # which will put them in a separate list.

Other Please Specify Option – When using this option you have to give it its own New Question # and question type or else you will have all of the open-ended answers in your chart with your other answers.

If you want them to all show seperate then give them all a different New Question #. The first column of this question type will have just the question text and not the answer option in the text. We will clean this in the clean data step, just make sure you give that column the same New Question # as the others.
15:02 Matrix of Dropdown Menus Matrix of Dropdown Menus Grouped In the Clean Data step, you will have to replace the first Column name with the answer value for that field.
6:30 Comment Box Textbox Single Acts the same as the SurveyMonkey Contact Information. Just give it a single number and select Textbox.
